RE: Invitation to talk by Professor Giovanni Vigna for Cyber Security Awareness Month
October is National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM). Did you know that UCSB is a leader in cybersecurity research? We are and we have been for many years. Under the direction of Professors Giovanni Vigna, Christopher Kruegel, and Dick Kemmerer, UCSB operates Seclab where faculty and graduate students are involved in cutting-edge research.
As part of our campus NCSAM activities, I'm pleased to announce that Professor Giovanni Vigna will be hosting a talk on the role of artificial intelligence in cybersecurity. The talk is open to the entire UCSB community. It will be held at the Loma Pelona center on Monday, October 22nd at 3:00 PM. I've gotten a peek into some of the work Seclab is doing with AI. It's amazing. I'm looking forward to seeing you at Professor Vigna's presentation.
