Prof. Stefano Tessaro receives Northrop Grumman Excellence in Teaching Award
In recognition of his outstanding efforts as an educator at UC Santa Barbara, Computer Science Assistant Professor Stefano Tessaro has earned the 2016 Northrop Grumman Excellence in Teaching Award. The award recognizes early-career faculty for their contributions and dedication as undergraduate educators, reflected in part by feedback from students.
Prior to joining UCSB, Prof. Tessaro was a postdoctoral associate and research scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a postdoctoral scholar at the University of California, San Diego. He received his Ph.D. from ETH Zurich in 2010. His research interests are in cryptography, and in its connections with computer security at large, as well as with theoretical computer science and information theory. Here at UCSB, Prof. Tessaro currently holds the Glen and Susanne Culler chair.
