High school students experience holographic computer at Four Eyes Lab
Hosted by the Four Eyes Lab (co-directed by Prof. Matthew Turk and Prof. Tobias Höllerer), groups of enthusiastic students from the Dos Pueblo High School Engineering Academy and the Santa Barbara High School Computer Academy learned about the lab’s research in imaging, interaction, and innovative interfaces. During their May 26 visit, students also experience augmented reality with new Microsoft HoloLens devices that the lab recently acquired. HoloLens is essentially a holographic computer built into a headset that lets you see, hear, and interact with holograms within an environment such as a living room or an office space.
