In a Santa Barbara Independent article on May 23, 2016 about Bitcoin titled, "Computer Expert Raises New Concerns for Bitcoin Users," CS grad student Cetin Sahin was quoted as saying, “It's just not trustworthy right now.”

The expert referenced in the headline is Dr. Emin Gün Sirer from Cornell, who gave a free lecture on electronic currencies at UCSB's SAGE Center for the Study of the Mind. On hand to introduce Dr. Sirer and his talk was CS Professor Matthew Turk.
