Prof. Ben Hardekopf has been awarded a National Science Foundation Faculty Early Career Development (NSF CAREER) Award for his research on static analysis of dynamic languages. The CAREER Award is one of the NSF’s most prestigious awards in honor of exceptional junior faculty and will support Prof. Hardekopf’s research with a $500,000, five-year grant. Prof. Hardekopf’s research is aimed at improving the security, maintainability, correctness, and performance of programs written in dynamic languages such as JavaScript and Python, which are increasingly being employed in critical infrastructure in desktops, servers, and mobile devices.
