Yujie Lu Received Best Paper Award at CHI 2023
Second-year Ph.D. student Yujie Lu received Best paper award at CHI 2023 for her paper titled "Breaking Out of the Ivory Tower: A Large-scale Analysis of Patent Citations to HCI Research" in a collaboration with Stanford University and Carnegie Mellon University.
In their paper, they perform a large-scale measurement study of patent citations to HCI research venues, tracing how HCI research is cited in US patents over the last 30 years.
Yujie is broadly interested in vision and language, including language grounding in vision/action, language conditioned planning and human-computer interaction.
