Professor Oscar Ibarra receives the 2007 Blaise Pascal Medal from the European Academy of Sciences
Professor Ibarra received the 2007 Blaise Pascal Medal for Computer Science from the European Academy of Sciences. Blaise Pascal Medal was established by the European Academy of Sciences to recognize outstanding and demonstrated personal contributions to science and technology and the promotion of excellence in research and education.
Blaise Pascal Medal was given to Professor Ibarra in recognition of his outstanding contributions in several areas of computer science, including theory of computing, design and analysis of algorithms, computational complexity, parallel computing, VLSI computation, formal verification, and membrane computing.
