Prof. William Wang receives a gift award from LogMeIn to work on knowledge graph and summarization research
The Natural Language Processing Lab at UCSB Computer Science Department headed by Prof. William Wang has received a gift from LogMeIn to work on knowledge graph and summarization research. UCSB Computer Science has strong ties with the Santa Barbara branch of LogMeIn in the past: In July 2016, It was announced that the Citrix Online collaboration products would be merged with the business operations of LogMeIn, Inc during the first quarter of 2017. Citrix Online products are GoToAssist, GoToMeeting, GoToMyPC, GoToTraining, GoToWebinar, Podio, and OpenVoice. The core technologies that became Citrix Online were originally built by the company Expertcity. Expertcity, Inc. was founded in 1997 by University of California, Santa Barbara Computer Science professor Klaus Schauser and graduate students Bernd Oliver Christiansen and Malte Muenke.
During the academic years of 2014-2016, Computer Science Profs. Matthew Turk and Tobias Hollerer have also collaborated with LogMeIn on Improving Live Telecollaboration and Video Interaction.
