Professor and Chair Ambuj Singh this year has welcomed 16 Regents Scholars students to the Computer Science Department. The Regents Scholarship recognizes undergraduate students with exceptional academic promise and achievements. Computer Science is pleased to announce that 16 students have been awarded Regents Scholarships, each receiving $6,000 per year for four years.

In welcoming the incoming students, Prof. Singh shared that, “Our Computer Science B.S. degree is of the highest quality and is accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, Inc. The curriculum not only covers core concepts in Computer Science, but also gives students opportunities to specialize in the cutting-edge fields of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Distributed and Software Systems, Computer Security, Communication Networks and Bioinformatics. Most importantly, students learn from our exceptional faculty who are experts in their field and who are cohesively engaged in both academia and industry.”
