Justin Tjoa Receives NSF CSGrad4US Fellowship

CS Alumnus Justin Tjoa has received membership into the NSF CSGrad4US Fellowship program. This program secures a $138,000 scholarship that activates once enrolled in a Computer Science PhD. It also includes a part-time mentorship program continuing through the graduate school process to aid students like Justin in getting into a PhD program of best fit.
Justin was selected for his research on "creating and validating the first ESFA (Extensible Sparse Functional Array) implementation realizable in a physical circuit. It is the first functional array to have guaranteed constant-time and constant-space look-ups and updates due to its reliance on circuit parallelism". Justin is mentored by Assist. Prof. Jonathan Balkind.
