Professors Melliar-Smith and Moser’s undergraduate researcher, Christopher Badger, receives the Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Research.

Christopher Badger, a computer science student, has been selected to receive the Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Research. The award is bestowed upon one or more graduating seniors who have distinguished themselves as researchers.

Badger has been doing his research with Professor Michael Mellar-Smith and Professor Louise Moser on iTrust, a peer-to-peer (P2P) networking system that allows individuals from anywhere in the world to distribute and search for information, even in the presence of restrictive controls or censorship. His main contribution to the iTrust project is in the area of declustering.

The award will be presented to Christopher during the Engineering and Sciences Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, June 16, at 1:00 p.m. on the Faculty Club Green.
