DB Researchers Present Tutorials in SIGMOD, VLDB and KDD 2010

Professor Divy Agrawal, PhD Student Sudipto Das, and Professor Amr El Abbadi will be presenting an advanced tutorial on the topic of “Data Management Challenges in Cloud Computing” in the 2010 International Conference on Very Large Databases (VLDB) in Singapore, in September 2010.

Professor Xifeng Yan, together with his collaborators in U of Illinois, will present a tutorial, “Mining Knowledge from Databases: An Information Network Analysis Approach,” in the ACM International Conference on Management of Data (SIGMOD) in Indianapolis, in June 2010, and “Mining Heterogeneous Information Networks,” in the 16th ACM SIGKDD Conference on Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining, in Washington DC, in July 2010
