The CS Committee for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) at UCSB has developed a long term Strategic Action Plan (SAP) using feedback from its constituents: students, staff, and faculty. Our SAB is organized by DEI Initiative Goals that help us focus and integrate our concrete actions related to retention, recruiting, and funding. This SAP is a “living document” which our department uses to continuously review, assess, improve, and evolve its culture, offerings, activities, and impact using data-driven approaches. A graphical summary of the SAP is provided here. It depicts current and future (striped ovals) target groups and activities that we use to holistically improve and enhance our departmental DEI over time. Questions and comments are welcomed:
