Course Description

What might a secure yet practical computer system look like in the future?   Machines are changing rapidly (SGX and RISC V for example) and attacks are exploiting new hardware/software interactions (e.g. Spectre and Foreshadow).  It is time to take a serious look at the intersection of security, architecture, and languages to understand how these might all work together towards a common goal.  Students will be expected to read and present papers from these three areas, engage in both critical and constructive discussion, and participate in the brainstorming of new computer systems for further research.  All are welcome!
