Bio
I'm a PhD student at the department of Computer Science at UC Santa Barbara. Before my graduate studies I was in the industry for 3 years where I was a Senior Technical Lead at WSO2. I completed my B.Sc. Engineering degree in 2009, at University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. I'm an active contributor to a number of open source projects. I'm a committer for the Apache Xerces2/J project. I'm also a committer and the PMC chair for the Apache Synapse project. I have also made contributions to projects like Apache Web Services, Apache Axis2 and Apache Derby in the past. SOA, Web Services, and cloud computing are among my favorite technologies.
Currently I'm conducting research under the guidance of prof. Chandra Krintz. My PhD committee also includes prof. Rich Wolski and prof. Tevfik Bultan. I ascended to PhD candidacy in the early fall of 2013.
