My research interests lie in applying data mining and machine learning techniques to social network analysis. I find it fascinating to understand how users behave in online social networks, that have grown to be a huge phenomenon today. I have currently been working extensively on the detection of opinions of social network users from their (real) self-generated data using machine learning. Further, I would like to understand the underlying mechanism that governs the dynamics of opinion change in online social networks, and to be able to model the same.
