Professor Tao Yang and William Wang selected for Google Faculty Research Awards.

The Google Faculty Research Award is to identify and strengthen long-term collaborative relationships with faculty working on problems that will impact how future generations use technology. It is highly competitive - this round Google AI received 910 proposals covering 40 countries and over 320 universities. After expert reviews and committee discussions, Google AI decided to fund 158 projects.
