the message list

When your phone indicates the prescence of a message, how many are there? One? Two? Five? Who are they from? Are some of them so long you'd be better off just calling the person back?

These are some of the problems with traditional voicemail systems that visual voicemail attempts to solve. In recent years email and voicemail have become invariably linked in business and daily life, however while email has progressed and become increasingly user friendly with services like gmail, Hotmail, and Outlook, voicemail interface has remained primative and obtrusive.

It would be much simpler to have a visual menu which displays message information before you listen and allows you to access practical operations like deleting a message, callback, textback, etc. Instead of having to sequentially listen to messages, Visual Voicemail allows you to select a message based on its importance to you at the time.

Visual Voicemail is a phone application which allows the user to view their recent voicemails and play them in a user friendly GUI enviornment. It can play the messages in any order and will let the user experience a new degree of freedom and flexibility.
