Technology Development
Since 1988, I have been developing cryptography and
information security technologies and products.
Over the years, I contributed to nearly 20 products in the marketplace.
Particularly, I worked on some early, successful security toolkits
and products such as BSAFE (RSA Security), CDSA (Intel), and the
first few (non-commercial) versions of PGP secure email.
Currently I am managing two technology companies,
CryptoCode and Claveo Software, which I co-founded.
CryptoCode
CryptoCode is a technology company with offices
and labs in Santa Barbara, California,
specialized in cryptographic
engineering research and development.
CryptoCode develops cryptographic and cryptanalytic hardware
and software, offers reverse engineering and cloning
services, evaluates and validates cryptographic products.
CryptoCode has experience and knowledge in cryptography,
accumulated over two decades.
CryptoCode has particular expertise in development
of secure (resistant to side-channel attacks), highly-optimized,
algorithm-rich and platform-specific cryptographic code in ASM,
C, C++, Java, VHDL, and Verilog.
In addition to cryptography, CryptoCode also develops
IP cores for audio and video encoding and decoding (SBC, AAC, MPEG)
and error-correcting codes (BCH, RS). Over the years,
CryptoCode developed several hardware and embedded software IP
cores, which are available for immediate delivery, and develops
new IP cores, and performs customization services according
to the specifications and requirements of its customers.
Claveo Software
Claveo Software develops a unique and innovative cryptographic software
which allows the user to authenticate her identity and her smart
mobile device, without requiring any modification to the device
hardware. Claveo's software can be integrated to the smart
device as an OS service or as an application, and transforms the
device into a truly trusted proxy, and thus allowing wide scale
deployment of new services and applications.
Claveo's technology is particularly crucial for applications
requiring strong authentication, e.g., Internet banking, mobile
payment systems, access to bank ATM's, and mobile identity
checks for governmental agencies. Moreover, license management
for high value applications would be enabled. Even further,
Claveo's technology would enable pay-per-view or pay-per-use
services on smart phones and other similar mobile platforms.
